Flying to Alicante
Now that Thomson has stopped flights from Coventry have a look at Skyscanner.net to compare all the flights from Birmingham or Luton.
Alicante
Alicante serves the ever popular resort of Benidorm in addition to the many homeowners all along the Costa Blanca. A busy port, it offers the best
of both worlds - classic Spanish heritage and modern culture. The city has a long history, even boasting Roman remains from the days when
it was known as Lucentum. The coast of Alicante and the Costa Blanca owes its name to the beaches stretching for several kilometres and
attracts many sun worshippers and pleasure seekers in search of year round sun and a break from the rain.
Alicante Airport (ALC), is located 11 km (6.8 miles) south of the city.
To and from Alicante airport
Bus Number C-6, departing every 30 minutes from Bus stop No 30, takes you to the city in about 30 minutes for approx €1.
Ask the driver to notify you when to get off, for example the Train Station, Estacion de trenes.
Bear in mind that this bus follows a circular route and takes about 40 minutes to get from Alicante back to the airport,
the extra 10 minutes can make all the difference in missing your check-in time.
